Everyone who opens this site starts with £50.00. Each page costs a little, by how far down it you read, and the pages with a behaviour policy and its hook cost the most. Nothing is ever blocked, and the balance can go below zero. We are working out the fair prices with you.

What this is, and what it is not

• It lives in this browser. The balance and the history are kept in this browser's storage under riskmandate.customers.meter.v1 and are sent nowhere. Another browser starts again at £50.00.
• It is an honesty box, not a paywall. It is the newsroom's reading meter, SG Meter, loaded from api.newsroom.sgit.ai at a pinned release. What it can and cannot protect is in its security model.
• The prices are a starting point. The credit page lists what each kind of page costs, read to the end. If a page was not worth its price, rate it at its foot, or say why it should not be charged at all.
